Who We Are
Doniece Sandoval

A serial entrepreneur/social good innovator, Doniece is globally recognized for pioneering mobile hygiene to address the appalling lack of access to showers and toilets for the unhoused. Under her leadership, LavaMaeX transformed the lives of 45,000 unhoused Californians and inspired, advised, or directly trained 250+ communities across 38 countries as they launched their own LavaMaeX-designed programs. She's raised more than $27 million during her time in the nonprofit sector and has worked with leading companies such as Coca-Cola, Toys R Us, and Informix to shape their brands, drive visibility and develop and execute their social good programs.
A CNN Hero, a Toyota Mother of Invention, Muse Creative, and KIND people awardee, Doniece stepped away from nonprofit leadership at the end of 2019. She was mentally, physically, and emotionally depleted. In time, she began thinking about how to sustain changemakers like herself who were battling burnout and wanted to not only endure but thrive. TALO is her response.
